The small but lovely bell-shaped bowl with a painting of a dog on its lid is perfect for storing jewelry, nuts, candies, or even food like cookies. Handcrafted and hand-painted by our master craftsmen at Unrakugama in Kyoto, Japan using traditional methods passed down for generations, this bowl will make a classic addition to any room.
Unrakugama is at the forefront of the Kiyomizu ware tradition for the last 130 years. The current head of the store, the third generation Master Unraku Saito, is one of the few craftsmen in the industry officially recognized by the Japanese government for his artistry. Saito Sensei is currently 93 years old but is still active as ever. As the only living member of the six young craftsmen who started a new movement in Kiyomizu ware, he has only taken two days off work in the last 30 years.
